Don Wallace, What’s a Dream Builder?

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. Work has been quite stressful and time consuming, but I don’t think I’ll have to worry about that anymore. I’ll explain in a future blog post.

Moving on. I came across a few business cards on a board in the grocery store that people use it as an advertisement for their product or service. Here’s the first one I grabbed.

Dream Builder

Don Wallace claims to be a dream builder. As I said in a previous business card blog, some people put an unnecessarily fancy title on their card and I feel like this is a pure example. What’s a dream builder anyway? Clearly, it’s someone who “make my dreams possible” by helping people.

I visited the website and it turns out he’s an Independent Consultant for Ambit Energy. I have plenty of cards from pyramid schemes like that. Dream builder my foot.

Then, I got another card with Don Wallace’s name on it.

Don Wallace

That seems more accurate. Don Wallace protecting dreams through insurance. An insurance salesman claiming to be a dream builder seems a little ridiculous, in my opinion, but “protecting dreams” via insurance is something I can relate to a little more (as a spender on multiple types of insurance).

Moral of the story: being truthful about your role could be more effective than claiming you can build dreams.
