There’s a New Mechanic in Town

I previously wrote a blog post about why I was no longer going to Pep Boys. I found a new mechanic to go to, although I had gone there before.

I had gone to Pep Boys because of the more convenient hours, but always enjoyed the work of Quality Auto Centers better at their Highland Park NJ location. That made me decide to go back.

And I did not regret it.

Since the last time I was there, new management came and it just so happens he grew up in the same town that I did. That’s some sort of sign.

Not only was there time to get me in when I called & went early enough, but I feel more secure about knowing that my car is running right. My car is at 185K miles and went there 3 times for various issues that have come up in the past couple of months.

All of them have been fixed as quickly as possible. I was even told 1 issue was minor, so I don’t feel that I have to waste $300 doing it until I feel it’s absolutely necessary.

Any problems I had were explained to me thoroughly and what the best solutions were (and I didn’t feel like I was being ripped off). I’m going here from now on.
