Whoa, It’s a Blog

I knew that I had to start blogging after reading UnMarketing: Stop Marketing. Start Engaging. I was advised to do so in 2009 once I was laid off from Advantage Business Media after they had to let go of approximately a quarter of its staff due to Digi Key, a key advertiser, pulled its front page ads from almost all of the magazines they wrote, including ECN Magazine and Wireless Design & Development that I worked on.

However, I was depressed and bogged down trying to get a new job that could enable me to pay my bills. I grew up on Long Island and moved out to Budd Lake, NJ in 2008 for the job, which was located in Rockaway. I knew I had to stay in NJ because I just started the relationship I’m currently in and the fact that I was receiving unemployment. My unemployment ran out and PCG Digital Marketing came to the rescue the very next week.

I’ve been there since March of 2009 and have been quite happy with my job and the people that I work with. In fact, my coworker Steve Murphy helped me build this site, so I can creatively express myself and share my life with the Internet. Like the millions of others who use the Internet as an outlet, I will also through this blog.

You’ll be able to read about my escapades as a business card collector, all of the latest digital marketing trends from the perspective of a SEO content writer and my other life experiences as they come. I’m on Twitter (@ChrisKeuling), so feel free to follow and interact with me even though I’m late to the party! I’m also on Facebook as well.
