Getting Rear Ended & Auto Body Work Done by Delta Collision

Auto Body Shop Matawan NJThe last time I made a major vehicle purchase with my Nissan Sentra, I got into a fender bender a few months into owning it. And why would that be any different for my Dodge Grand Caravan?

However, this accident was 100% not my fault. That’s because I was stopped at a stop sign near my house ready to make a left turn and then I felt a thud & cringed knowing that I just got struck by another vehicle, a Nissan Rogue to be specific.

The lady who hit me immediately apologized and I was calm as I could be because I knew I wasn’t at fault as I called the police & assessed the damage. We took up a bit of room on the road and some older lady even yelled at me & I sternly told her what was up, getting an apology right after.

It took about 10 minutes for the police to come and take our statements. Another 20 minutes later, I was on my way and had to call my insurance and they recommended Delta Collision as the closest auto body shop they work with that doesn’t involve me going over a bridge to NY.

The Process at Delta Collision

Delta Collision Matawan NJDelta Collision is a bit of a ways away from me in Matawan NJ, but it makes handling the claim a lot easier. As does the fact that the driver also had my insurance.

I met with George when I ventured to Delta Collision and he inspected the car showing what damage came with the accident & more nicks prior to for insurance purposes. He told me it would take about a week to fix.

They were done a day earlier than expected and my minivan looks like new again. They even left me some extra paint that will surely come in handy down the road.

The repairs made by Delta Collision were comprised of:

  • Repairing & buffing the left side panel
  • Replacing the liftgate, multiple badges, left LED taillamp, flex additive & rear bumper including the impact absorber
  • Removing & installing the rear spoiler, rear applique D-pillars, step pad
  • Disinfecting the vehicle under COVID-19 protocol
  • Scanning the vehicle before & after

The grand total of all of the repairs wound up being $3,904.37 and I didn’t have to pay a dime of it.
