I enjoy profiling unique business cards because there are so many ways to represent yourself or your company. Yet very few do something truly different to stand out.
I think Buck Kalinowski of Hillside Equestrian Meadows did just that with his card. It profiles 2 special (and beautiful) horses that have white hair that make the shape of a heart and an arrow, hence the website… and the names of the horses.
I went to said site and found out that Cupid is the subject of a children’s story, presumably about his life being a rescued horse. You can also apparently book a party with these 2 horses (if they’re still alive), or at the very least with Hillside Equestrian Meadows.
There’s a shop button at the top of the site that does not work, but you can just scroll down to buy the book or book a party. But upon going to the business’s website (different from CupidAndArrow.com), I found that they do lessons and even sell horses.
They’re based out of Wolcott CT (pretty well in the middle of the state), so I guess there’s a culture there where having horses is more commonplace than where I came from on Long Island. Unless you’re rich, like one girl named Jennica I went on a blind date with back when I was 18.
Not really a date, more of a party. Spoiler alert: it did not work out. I would have enjoyed riding horses regularly had we continued dating, but not enough to have my heart broken by the rejection. Well, not that one rejection at least.
But, I digress. I’d like to read the book sometime and it only costs $10. Perhaps I’ll buy it one day and update this blog post with my thoughts. Until then…
