Throwback: Thomas L Bradley for Kidder Township Supervisor PA

Thomas L Bradley Kidder Township SupervisorPolitics is a world I’ve never really held too much interest in, until Donald Trump became President. But I’ve seen some political-related business cards in my collecting time.

The one I find the most fun is the one for Thomas L Bradley, who ran as a write-in candidate for the Kidder Township Supervisor back in 2017. That’s because of the case of a business card working, as evident by the fact that he’s now the Chairman on the Kidder Township PA’s board of supervisors in 2020.

Unfortunately, there’s no way for a write-in candidate to become President of the United States. Though I did some research that there were 10 faithless electors in the electoral college including 3 votes for Colin Powell, 1 vote for Bernie Sanders, 1 vote for Ron Paul, 1 vote for John Kasich & 1 vote for Faith Spotted Eagle. Yes, that’s real.

I know that Donald Trump’s presidency has sparked a lot of vocal opinions on social media, from his brash words & social media posts on so many topics to his treatment of the things plaguing 2020 like COVID-19 & the Black Lives Matter movement.

It’s been deplorable to say the very least and now he’s vying against Joe Biden to determine the next president. Biden isn’t a great candidate either, which makes it sad that our 2-party system makes it feel like we’re settling on a president.

I watched the debates and saw how candidates didn’t answer questions, outright lied and resorted to attacking their opponents. I live in a blue state that’s always swaying that way, so my vote for president doesn’t count since we always get the electoral votes (unless there’s a faithless elector).

This upcoming presidential election is so pivotal and no matter what the outcome will be, people will be vocally unhappy with the outcome. And the political situation has caused me to reduce my time on social media because it’s the biggest thing everyone talks about.

Maybe if Trump loses, things will change. Or maybe the politicians will be more outspoken going forward. I’m anticipating the outcome to see what happens for the next 4 years.
